Quality Consumers – 3 Examples of Being Tied In

We are all consumers. Whether it’s the food we eat, the clothes we wear or the technology we use. We buy the goods, thus feeding the rich companies. We use our purchases until they break, which is generally outside its warranty. If something comes along that’s better we sell them.

Replacing them 12 months later because it’s faster and better than the previous model. We live in a consumerist world intertwined with a capitalistic society. A business degree is not needed in this case! Technology has advanced so much over the past 20 years does it actually help or are we tied in even further?

New Design Live – Dedicated to the life of my Dad

Sorry I haven’t had posted much this year. 2019 hasn’t been the easiest year so far. Having had persistent viral infections over a 12 week period at the start of the year. I decided to do a redesign of my blog then part way through my dad lost his battle after suffering a major stroke in 2018. As my new design is now live I will dedicate this post to him.

Appspector Browser Extension Injects Code into WordPress Posts

Recently, it has been discovered that the Appspector Extension for web browsers has been injecting JavaScript code into Search Engines. More alarmingly it has also been injecting code into WordPress Post/Page editor. The popular extension, which has since been removed from Google Chrome and Firefox, detects which technologies are being used on a website.

2017 – The Time to Get Moving and Achieve Those Dreams

I haven’t posted as much as I would have liked this year. Following up from my going anti-social post last year I have had an extremely busy year moving house, twice! After living and outgrowing our family home for 16 years I decided it was the right time to sell and move house.  Since January 2015, life has been extremely busy after the sudden loss of my fiance, forced into single motherhood and deciding to go back to my old career in working with children to gain a regular income.  With a job, I love and more importantly had the opportunity to meet new wonderful people. I had further dreams to fulfil and obviously doing this without Shaun was emotionally difficult as it was our family home, I was selling!
